About Smithtown Strings

For several years, it has been the goal of Mr. William Link, Executive Director, and Founder of the Smithtown Community Band (SCB), to implement a string orchestral program.  Mr. Link’s objective was achieved in 2023 with the formation of Smithtown Strings.

Smithtown Strings would like to invite string players of all ages, who have a desire to play music in a performance setting to join. The ensemble’s repertoire  will consist of NYSSMA level five and six music, and therefore, those interested should consider the level of difficulty before joining. Smithtown Strings is looking for all orchestral instruments including Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass and Harp.
