Founded by Bill Link in 1987, The Smithtown Community Band has proudly served Smithtown by performing over 100 free  concerts over the course of 30 seasons.The Smithtown Community Band has had the pleasure of working with the Smithtown, Nesconset and Kings Park libraries, the Village of St. John’s, the Smithtown Recreation Department, the Smithtown Township Arts Council, the chambers of commerce in Smithtown, St. James and Nesconset,  and the dedication ceremonies for Constitutional Boulevard located at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge.  Our current venue is the Smithtown Historical Society  and  the band has 75 members, ranging in age from 15 to 70, who share the common goal of creating music.In 2016 the Smithtown Community Jazz Ensemble was created by Andrew Golub to provide additional performances for the community.
